Buffalo Con Queso

From The Cumming Harvest - Closed

You can substitute our delicious water buffalo ground for any ground beef recipe. We’re posting a few of our favorites for something new and interesting. We bring this cheesy dip to family functions by popular demand and have a big crock pot of it going at farm parties. Kids go crazy for it.

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients
1 lb water buffalo ground
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
8 oz tomato sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3/4 tsp oregano, fresh
8 oz cream cheese
1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated or shaved
4 Tbl fat for cooking (butter, coconut oil, etc)
1 bag tortilla chips

Step by Step Instructions
 1. Saute onion and garlic in butter or other oil over medium heat until soft. Add water buffalo ground, break apart with spatula as it cooks. Cook until just brown, no draining needed!
 2. Reduce heat to low, stir in remaining ingredients and cook until well combined and heated through. Keep warm in a crock pot if desired.
 3. Serve with tortilla chips. Enjoy!
