Good morning and Happy Friday. Tonight is First Friday in Canton with a special Bike Night planned. Along with the antique cars, major bike action will be on view. There will also be live music, BBQ and loads of other goodies. Tomorrow is Canton Farmers Market from 8-12 so I hope you get out there and do some fun stuff this weekend.

We have a new vendor that has joined our market, Humphries Humble Creations, she makes organic body care products and soaps, different ones from Simply Oh! She has a black soap that is very healing to the skin as it contains activated charcoal. Please look over her offerings. Her website is www.humphreyshumblecreations.com.

There are a couple of vendors that have not updated the market yet so I will let you know when the veggies are updated.

Blessings, and thank you for supporting your local farmer.

Champaign, OH:  Crazy Love

And when I’m returning from so far away…
She gives me some sweet lovin’ brighten up my day…
Yes it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole…
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul…
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love…
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love…
(Van Morrison – Crazy Love)

Crazy love…it’s what I have for this little local market of love!! Crazy, over the top, dedicated kind of love. This market is such a labor of love, on so many levels. From the vendors to the customers to the YMCA to your market managers, we all have a crazy kind of love for this market.

Each week, I am reminded of why I volunteer as your market manager. Each week, I feel so much love and pride in this market. We have so many returning vendors now that the produce season is underway, so many of their amazing products, and it is so nice to greet them at check-in, and get emails and phone calls that they are returning.

This market is a family, of sorts. We all have our place in this family, we all pull our own weight, we all bring an equal amount of local love.

As you know, this past week, we welcomed, The Berry Patch back with Steven’s amazing strawberries!! Steven told us that we may only have the berries for three weeks!! This week, we say hello, again, to our friend, Kevin, from Davidson Family Farms!!! We still have asparagus but maybe only for one more week. Take advantage!!! We still have live herbs…but not for long!! The green garlic may be giving way to the garlic scapes, AND, we may even get strawberries from JC Growers!!

We’ve got it all, we keep it all local, we come to you, year round, AND, we do it with much love in our hearts!!

This past week was an amazing market with amazing numbers and sales!! Let’s see if you can top this week!!

I am opening the market, I urge you to take advantage of what is about to leave us while you indulge in what is coming on…

Give us some love…some crazy love…

Peace, Love, Good Vibes,
Cosmic Pam

New Vendors

It gives me great pleasure to announce that we have 2 new vendors on the market – Keena from Keena’s Kake Designs and Andrea from Rapid Gourmet!

Keena from Keena’s Kake Designs (KKD) was our Vendor of the Day on Tuesday. I hope you enjoyed sampling her delicious gourmet brownies and cookies made with organic sugar and cacao, all-natural, and non-GMO!

Keena’s Kake Designs was born from a love of making delicious, custom baked goods for her family and friends at an affordable price. It also evolved from her desire to provide her family with high quality natural and organic foods; come to find out, it’s not always easy to find sweets that do not contain artificial colors, preservatives and other additives. So, their products will always be all-natural, non-GMO, and made with organic ingredients! They are a snack company with integrity: if she wouldn’t feed it to her family, she won’t feed it to yours!

Rapid Gourmet offers chutneys, jambalaya mix, and unique jam, salsa and relish flavors. Gluten free and sugar free options are available upon request. Makes a great gift! They are beautifully presented and are designed to make both the receiver and giver feel special.

Market News

Mountain Fresh Creamery
We will no longer have Mountain Fresh Creamery on the market. The supplemental feed they give their cows contains GMOs. I am currently looking for a new dairy to provide us low temp pasteurized milk. I will keep you all updated. In the meantime, please consider Cedar Rock Dairy and Lil Tots Estate.

My Daily Bread
My Daily Bread apologizes for the short notice but they will be taking a break from baking this week and will be back on the market next week for the June 16th pick up. I will send out a reminder next week. Due to some health issues they will probably be on the market every other week.

FCLO and Seafood Group Buy
If you purchased Fermented Cod Liver Oil (FCLO) and/or seafood, it will be available this Tuesday, June 9th for pick up. The seafood will be in a marked freezer.
