Middle Tennessee Locally Grown: Time to Order Fresh Local Farm Products!
Manchester Locally Grown market
We always have a few new farmers, waiting their turn to join our market and offer their wonderful products to all our customers. In order to add more farmers, we feel it would be best to grow our customer base a bit. We want to be able to offer you and your friends some new local farm products.
The farmers and market managers would really appreciate your efforts to help spread the word about our fantastic market. What a great local resource for fresh, local farm products. Please pick up a few business cards to hand out to your friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Advertising is very expensive, and we want to use our slim market funds in a responsible manner.

Happy New Year!
We trust you had a wonderful blessed Christmas season and enjoyed a break from the usual hustle and bustle, as well as perhaps getting time with friends and family. Now as the days slowly grow longer, farmers will be planning their spring and summer adventures. If you have been looking for any specific farm products, please be sure to let us know so we can encourage production of the wanted items. We want you to be able to find the “cream of the crop” from local farmers, the best products picked and made with pride especially for YOU! Thank you for supporting your local farmers and small businessmen and women.
The market will remain open for your orders till Tuesday at 10 pm.
Please be sure to read the section of the page entitled “Important Ordering and Pickup Information.”
Farm News of the Week
Molly from Kountry Vittles writes:
I would like to wish everyone a Happy and Blessed New Year. I will be starting off the new year by adding 2 new items to the market this week. Pineapple upside down Cheesecake Cake and Pecan Pie Cheesecake. These delicious additions have been a hit with my regular Bakery customers over the last few weeks. The Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake cake is a pineapple cake with a layer of cheesecake nicely tucked in the center. The Pecan Pie cheesecake has a cookie crust with a layer of pecan pie filling nicely hidden under a layer of cheesecake topped with a layer of pecan topping. Excellent way to start the New Year!
Lois at Casey Family Farm writes:
We had to dry off some more cows so we won’t have milk this week. Please bear with us. We hope to be back to normal soon.
Erdmann Farm is on the market this week and still has Connecticut Field and Long Island Cheese Pumpkins.
Terra Hills products have returned to the market after Christmas vacation.
(L to R) Soothing Scents Vapor Rub; Magnesium Oil Spray with Lavender; Bathroom Cleaner.
From Linda at Dogwood Valley Greenhouse:
Brrr! It’s cold outside! While you’re paging through seed catalogs and planning next year’s gardening adventures, you need a friend or two inside to keep you company. Dogwood Valley Greenhouse has several really nice full wandering Jew hanging baskets available. And if you weren’t able to find a nice Christmas cactus, we have a new crop just coming into bloom, all a pretty lighter shade of pink. Our Rex begonias are also very pretty, many in bloom during winter. So bring some color to your dining room, coffee, or bedside table with one of these nice houseplants.
(L to R) Pink Christmas Cacti, Wandering Jew, and Rex Begonia.

Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!

Champaign, OH: A New Day Will Dawn
For those who stand long,
and the forest will echo with laughter…
(Led Zeppelin)
We are upon a new day to dawn, the brink of a new year, another year in this market!
Was your holiday a love filled one? Did you eat well, give unto others, and love those around you?
This time of year makes me so happy to see so much kindness. I also love to see the return of our market hours and weeks, and the excitement of the dawn of a new year in our market history!
We thank you for being along for the ride!
One announcement fior the dawn of a new year, is that we are moving along without Seusher Hill Herbs. Joe and Charlene have decided to leave our little local market of love, and we wish them well, an would like to thank Charlene for her participation in helping to manage our market in the early years!
So, with every dawn, there is a rebirth…and, I feel that for this market!
2018….the year that brings all exciting things!
Tonight, I open the market!! Let us be your new dawn…
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
