Champaign, OH: Going Down The Road Feelin' Bad
Going where the climate suits my clothes…
Going where the chilly winds don’t blow…
(Going Down The Road, Feeling Bad-Grateful Dead)
Yes…this song was on replay in my mind, today, all day. It’s frigid, it’s windy, it’s icy, it’s snowy…it’s tooooo much for this hippie baking market manager!!
I am finally home, finally warming up, finally pouring a glass of wine.
I love that any and all shopping can take place, right here, where I am warm and cozy, with a glass of wine, with tunes, and without any hassles. I shop, I click, I sit back, and know that even though these chilly winds keep blowing, I don’t have to be out fighting them to shop. I get local, I get nutrition, I get a whole lot for the money…it’s a local win!
So, my weekly shopping is done, and I can get back to dreaming about a tropical escape where the climate will certainly suit my clothes:)
Get your orders in…remember…it’s the week before Thanksgiving. We will not operate market hours, next week. Think, think, think…plan ahead and let us do the work!
Peace and Love,
Cosmic Pam
ALFN Local Food Club: Last Call for a Great T-Day Haul!
This. Is. It. The very last chance to order all the fantastically tasty local ingredients you need to make The Best Thanksgiving Feast of All Time™. So triple check your menu, and make sure you have absolutely everything you need from The Market. Such as:
chicken for roasting, sweet potatoes to candy, fresh sage for dressing, eggs for deviling, kale for sauteeing, leeks for creaming, radishes for dipping, turnips for gratin, berries for cobbler, and pecans for pie.
With the help all the flavor packed goods The Natural State has to offer, this may finally be the year that your dinner is so stupendously scrumptious, there won’t be a leftover spoonful in sight.
